The Showjumping Fund of the Netherlands, the syndicate group that owns Zenith SFN, Jeroen Dubbeldam’s partner for Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games (France) individual and team gold, has agreed to keep the horse with Dubbeldam at least through the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

“The SFN can say goodbye to the horses in their possession at any given time,” stated a press release from the organization. “There are a few reasons to say goodbye: A horse is just not capable at the highest level of the sport to meet the objectives of the SF; or a horse has fully complied with the objectives of the SFN, but the absolute highlight in the sporting career of the horse has been reached, and the horse represents a high value, so it is wise for the purposes of the financial interests of the investors to say farewell.

“This would be a resale goodbye,” continued the release. “The important question is: Should the Supervisory Board and Executive Board of the SFN consider this double World Championship gold now as the peak and end the combination of Zenith SFN and Jeroen Dubbeldam? The answer is short and concise. No.”

The 10-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding (Rash R—Sascha, Fuego du Prelet SF) and Dubbeldam have been a team since 2011 and only started jumping in CSI***** classes this year.
