The second leg of the Longines League Of Nations Series is underway at the World Equestrian Center—Ocala in Ocala, Florida, this week. The four-part series kicked off in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, in February, where Ireland stood atop the podium.
Several top riders are in Ocala to compete, including 2024 German Olympic champion Christian Kukuk, who won the $350,000 Lugano Grand Prix CSIO5* on Thursday night. World No. 1 Henrik von Eckermann of Sweden is also set to compete, as is Olympic and European gold medalist Kevin Staut of France.
The United States will be represented by Laura Kraut, McLain Ward, Lillie Keenan and Aaron Vale. (You can find a full list of teams here.) They’ll be looking to improve upon their third-placed finish in 2024.

The series has two more legs, in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, in June, and in St. Tropez, France, in September, before the final in Barcelona, Spain, Oct. 2-5. The top eight teams will earn tickets to Barcelona.

The Format: The top 10 teams from around the world will each have four riders. The three best scores count towards the team total in Round 1. For the second round, the eight best teams return with three riders, selected by the team’s chef d’equipe. The team order is determined by reverse standings from Round 1.
The final standings are determined by the three best scores from a team’s first round and the total score in the second round. There is no drop score in the final round.
