It’s that time of year again when ponies from across the country take over the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington for USEF Pony Finals. The sub-14.2-hand equines and their young riders go head-to-head in hunter, jumper and equitation competition, with action starting Tuesday and continuing through Aug. 13.
Here’s what you need to know to follow along.
Where: The Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington. Pony hunters compete in the Rolex Arena and jumpers ride in the Claiborne Ring. The USEF Pony Medal Final takes place in the Alltech Arena.
When:
Tuesday, Aug. 8
11 a.m. Medium pony hunter model and under saddle then small green pony hunter model and under saddle
Wednesday, Aug. 9
7 a.m. Small pony hunter model and under saddle then medium pony hunter over fences then small green pony over fences
Thursday Aug. 10
7 a.m. Medium green pony hunter model and under saddle then large green hunter model and under saddle then small pony hunter over fences
3 p.m. Pony jumper individual competition phase I (Claiborne Ring)
Friday Aug. 11
7 a.m. Large pony hunter model and under saddle then medium green over fences then large green over fences
3 p.m. Pony jumper individual phase II/team championship (Claiborne Ring)

Saturday Aug. 12
7 a.m. Large pony hunter over fences
2:30 p.m. Pony jumper farewell class (Claiborne Ring)
4 p.m. Pony jumper individual final (Claiborne Ring)
Sunday Aug. 13
7 a.m. USEF Pony Medal Final (Alltech Arena)
