After months of qualifying shows, the fall indoor season officially gets underway Friday, Oct. 1, with Capital Challenge’s equitation weekend. After taking place in Wilmington, Ohio, last year, the show returns to Prince George’s Equestrian Center in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, and riders will vie for glory in the World Champion Hunter Rider challenge classes.

Some of the biggest classes of the show run Wednesday and Friday nights when professionals go head-to-head for bragging rights (and money), first in the WCHR Professional and Developing Pro Challenge classes on Wednesday, then in the WCHR Pro Finals—the class where pros take turns riding different horses.

But the pros aren’t the only ones under the spotlight. There are challenge classes for everyone from children’s hunters to the 3’6″ divisions. You can read about all of the WCHR classes offered here.

The North American League Finals are also taking place at Capital Challenge for the second year in a row.
