We’re Just Waiting For The WEG!

Only 10 days until Sara will be leaving for Kentucky!!

Since winning the Pfizer $1 Million Grand Prix, her days have been very full. She’s still working twice a day, which she is enjoying since the weather is much cooler. McLain was in New Hampshire at The Fidelity Classic with the young, black mare, O’d Eole, who finished third in the $75,000 Fidelity Investments Grand Prix. Goldika was scheduled to go, but she bit her tongue the other day while schooling, and it was bothering her a little, so she stayed home and will get to go to Harrisburg.

Dr. Ober paid Sara a visit on Tuesday and said she looked great. He did some routine maintenance, filled out her paperwork, and told us he would see us at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. Sara had a few easy days, then I rode her and she felt amazing.

Sara’s old owner sent us some of her baby pictures and also pictures of her with the two foals that she had, and they’re adorable.

This week, McLain will attend the WEG opening ceremonies in Kentucky. I think Cedric, “Monkey,” and Quick Study, “Joey,” arrive back to the U.S. at the end of the week, so that’s exciting. And the final countdown continues.
