USEF Names Teams For CSIO Wellington

The following teams and riders have been named by the United States Equestrian Federation to represent the United States in Nations Cup competition during CSIO Wellington, Feb. 27-March 3. On Friday, March 1, the Palm Beach International Equestrian Club in Wellington, Fla., will host some of the best horses and riders from across the globe as they vie for top honors in the $75,000 Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup.

The following teams and riders have been named by the United States Equestrian Federation to represent the United States in Nations Cup competition during CSIO Wellington, Feb. 27-March 3. On Friday, March 1, the Palm Beach International Equestrian Club in Wellington, Fla., will host some of the best horses and riders from across the globe as they vie for top honors in the $75,000 Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup.

On Saturday, March 2, the International Arena will showcase the future of the sport in the $10,000 FEI Young Riders Nation Cup, the $2,500 FEI Junior Riders Nations Cup and the FEI Children’s Nations Cup.

 

Senior Rider Team

The United States will be represented by the following four combinations in the $75,000 Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup:

Kent Farrington (Wellington, Fla.) on R.C.G. Farm’s Uceko

Uceko is a 12-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding 

Reed Kessler (Lexington, Ky.) on her own Cylana

Cylana is an 11-year-old Belgian Warmblood mare

Laura Kraut (Royal Palm Beach, Fla.) on Cherry Knoll Farm Inc.’s Cedric

Cedric is a 15-year-old Holsteiner gelding

Beezie Madden (Cazenovia, NY) on Abigail Wexner’s Simon

Simon is a 14-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding

Robert Ridland will serve as chef d’equipe for the Senior Rider team.

Spectators and fans in attendance at the $75,000 Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup are invited to a Team USA Nations Cup Pep Rally Reception hosted by the USET Foundation and the USEF from 6-7 p.m. on Friday evening. 

 

Young Rider Team

The United States will be represented by the following four combinations in the $10,000 FEI Young Riders Nation Cup:

Liza Finsness (Wellington, Fla.) on her own Ormsby Hill

Ormsby Hill is a 16-year-old Warmblood gelding

 Michael Hughes (Allendale, NJ) on Christina Fried’s Luxina or MacArthur

Luxina is a nine-year-old Dutch Warmblood mare

MacArthur is a 13-year-old Dutch gelding

Abigail McArdle (Barrington, Ill.) on David McArdle’s Cosma 20

Cosma 20 is a 10-year-old Hanoverian mare

Catherine Pasmore (Wellington, Fla.) on Pasmore Stables’ Z Canta

Z Canta is a nine-year-old Dutch Warmblood mare

 

Junior Rider Team

The United States will be represented by the following four combinations in the $2,500 FEI Junior Riders Nations Cup:

Lillie Keenan (New York, NY) on Chansonette Farm, LLC’s Londinium or Pumped Up Kicks

Londinium is an 11-year-old Oldenburg gelding

Pumped Up Kicks is a 10-year-old Warmblood gelding

Lucas Porter (Bartonville, Texas) on Sleepy P Ranch LLC’s Phineas

Phineas is an 11-year-old Oldenburg gelding

Chloe Reid (Washington, DC) on Chloe D. Reid LLC’s Damascus or King of Hearts

King of Hearts is a 10-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding

Sydney Shulman (Greenwich, Conn.) on Back Country Farm’s Little Lady D’Elle

Child Rider Team

The United States will be represented by the following four combinations in the FEI Children’s Nations Cup: 

Brett Burlington (Coral Gables, Fla.) on her own ‘Tis Picobello Z

‘Tis Picobello Z is a nine-year-old Zangersheide mare

Jordyn Freedman (Longmeadow, Mass.) on her own Swag

Swag is a 14-year-old Warmblood gelding

McKenzie Kasper (Alpharetta, Ga.) on her own Tum Tum

Tum Tum is a 13-year-old KWPN mare

McKayla Langmeier (East Granby, Conn.) on Missy Clark’s Looping Star

Looping Star is a 16-year-old Hanoverian gelding

Michelle Grubb will serve as chef d’equipe for the Young Rider, Junior Rider and Child Rider teams.
