The U.S. Equestrian Federation has announced the inaugural Sleepy P Ranch & Deeridge Farm $100,000 USEF U25 Show Jumping National Championship will take place at the National Horse Show in Lexington, Ky., Oct. 27-Nov. 1.

Open to athletes 16-25 in the calendar year, this individual championship will be based on the FEI World Cup format with fence heights up to 1.50-meter. Three competitions will determine the national champion: a $15,000 faults converted class, a $20,000 timed first jump-off class, and a $30,000 final with two rounds not against the clock. An additional $35,000 will be awarded to the top 10 combinations overall.

“This new USEF U25 Show Jumping National Championship and the support for this relevant division in the developing rider program by the National Horse Show makes the bridge between the young rider and the senior ranks seamless,” said DiAnn Langer, USEF show jumping development coach/chef d’equipe. “The National Horse Show’s commitment to future generations of high performance athletes is invaluable to our future success.”
