The U.S. Equestrian Federation this week announced changes to California’s upper-level eventing calendar for the 2023-2027 seasons to provide more qualification opportunities for upper-level riders and horses in the state and “to limit the travel to achieve those qualifications in the interest of horse welfare.”
Following a review of Area VI community feedback, the modifications to the five-year calendar were recommended by USEF’s Eventing Strategic Calendar Task Force. Due to hardships demonstrated for qualification under the previous structure and criteria, the following modifications were approved to offer the best preparation for high-performance athlete and horses. More on those modifications can be found here.
