Tryon International Equestrian Center Announces Spring Show Schedule Concluding with CSI3*/4* Competition

Tryon, NC - February 24, 2015 – Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC) and the Tryon Equestrian Partners are proud to announce the 2015 spring show schedule for the equestrian center, which will feature FEI CSI 3*/4* competition set to take place at the end of May. Located in the beautiful rolling hills of North Carolina's Blue Ridge Mountain range, TIEC will look to expand FEI competition opportunities for equestrians of all disciplines during the 2015 spring, summer and fall seasons.

Competition at TIEC will officially begin April 2, 2015, with Tryon Spring Week 1 (April 2-5), hosting B level Hunter competition and Level 5 Show Jumping classes including the $5,000 Welcome class and a $25,000 Grand Prix. Tryon Spring Week 2 will follow closely behind running April 8-12 with similar competition opportunities hosting a $10,000 Welcome class and a $25,000 Grand Prix. 

Tryon Spring Weeks 3 & 4, (April 29-May 3, May 6-10) will feature B level Hunter classes and Level 3 Jumpers with another $10,000 Welcome class and a $25,000 Grand Prix, followed by Week 5, hosting similar jumper classes, a $10,000 Welcome class and a $25,000 Grand Prix. Week 5 (May 13-17) will also host the JP Atlanta competition with more information to come on available classes. Competition will begin to gear up in Week 6 as two larger jumper classes will be offered, a $25,000 Welcome class as well as a $75,000 Grand Prix. 

Week 7 & 8, the Tryon Summer Classic and the TR&HC Charity Horse Show, will be the highlight competition weeks of the spring season, with AA rated Hunter/Equitation classes and FEI CSI 3* and 4* competition for jumpers. The Week 7 CSI 3* competition on May 27-31 will offer both $34,000 1.45m and $34,000 1.50m classes while also hosting a $127,000 Grand Prix.

Week 8 will run from June 3-7 and will be the largest week of competition for the spring season with two $34,000 1.45m classes, a $34,000 1.50m class, and the highlight $210,000 Grand Prix. The CSI 3* and CSI 4* competitions will be the first FEI sanctioned jumper competitions at TIEC for the 2015 season.

TIEC will look to continue building upon its stellar reputation as a growing and elite epicenter for spring/summer/fall equestrian competition on the East Coast during the 2015 season, increasing opportunities for riders of all levels to compete at the world-renowned facility. A tentative schedule for the remainder of the 2015 season show schedule will be released further into the spring season. 

Accompanying world-class equestrian sport, TIEC and partners continue to execute plans to create a premier resort destination for equestrians around the globe. Alongside major plans to develop the surrounding areas neighboring the equestrian center, Tryon Equestrian Partners will continue to focus on attracting and securing internationally rated competitions for all disciplines.

The summer and fall circuit dates will be announced soon along with further expected FEI competition dates in those circuits.

The Tryon International Equestrian Center is destined to become recognized as one of the premier centers in the equestrian world. This new facility opened in June 2014 with sanctioned horse shows and initial supporting amenities including 10 riding arenas, 500 permanent stalls, a covered riding facility.
