Team Announced For Final U.S. Paralympic Observation Event

The U.S. Equestrian Federation has announce the athlete-and-horse combinations selected to represent the Perrigo U.S. Para Dressage Team at the Tryon Summer Dressage CPEDI3*, beginning today in Mill Spring, North Carolina. The team will be led by Chef d’Equipe Michel Assouline.

The Tryon Summer Dressage CPEDI3* will serve as the final observation event ahead of team selection for the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games.  

The following athletes are listed in alphabetical order:

• Sydney Collier (Ann Arbor, Michican) and Bell Bottoms (Benetton Dream—Issandra, Fidertanz), a 10-year-old Oldenburg mare owned by Going for Gold LLC and Diamante Farm, groomed by Anna Collier

• Cynthia Screnci (Boca Raton, Florida) and Sir Chipoli (Sir Donnerhall—Vivalucienne TKS, Carabas), a 17-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding owned by Volado Farms, groomed by Lia Screnci

• Kate Shoemaker (Wellington, Florida) and Colijn (Son De Niro—Dolly, Ulster), a 17-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding owned by Fiona Howard, groomed by Katie Barrett

• Roxanne Trunnell (Royal Palm Beach, Florida) and Fan Tastico H (Fuerstenball—Wehmut, Weltmeyer), a 7-year-old Oldenburg gelding owned by Karin Flint, groomed by Jordan McKennon

• Alternate: Elle Woolley (Ocala, Florida) and Deucalion (DiMaggio—Sandra Bullock, Sandro Hit), her own 10-year-old Hanoverian gelding, groomed by Rafael Carrillo-Hernandez

Team competition in the Tryon CPEDI3* begins at 9 a.m. Friday with the FEI Para Grand Prix Test A and continues Saturday with the FEI Para Grand Prix Test B. Individual freestyles will take place Sunday beginning at 10 a.m. Click here for a complete schedule and results.
