World of Showjumping is reporting that Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum’s mount Bella Donna 66 has been sold to the Qatari Armed Forces.

Rumors of Bella Donna’s sale were rampant last fall. The 11-year-old Holsteiner mare (Baldini II–Orlis I, Calido I) and Michaels-Beerbaum won the 2013 AIG Thermal $1 Million Grand Prix and jumped on the German team at the 2012 London Olympic Games. They were third in the 2012 Rolex Grand Prix of Aachen (Germany). Bella Donna was owned by Michaels-Beerbaum and EOS Sports.

Michaels-Beerbaum’s last competition on Bella Donna was the Grand Prix of Salzburg (Germany) where they were third. It is not know what rider will show Bella Donna in the future.
