Jimmy’s Prediction: Michael Pollard and Icarus have not been able to recapture their form of a couple of years ago. They have the training and talent to place well, but their results from this spring lead me to believe they are not yet ready to catch lightning in a bottle. Michael has excellent skills in all three disciplines, but he has not yet been able to put together three good days in a row at a four-star event.

Wonderful Will: dk. b. g., 15.1 hands, 14 years, U.S.-bred Thoroughbred (Woodman—Shir Dar), owned by rider, Sher Schwartz and Nathalie Pollard.

Last year, this pair won a division of intermediate at Red Hills (Fla.), placed 18th at The Fork CIC*** (N.C.), and was third in advanced divisions at Chattahoochee Hills (Ga.) and Morven Park (Va.). They placed fifth at the Fair Hill CCI*** (Md.). This spring, they won a division of intermediate at Full Gallop Farm (S.C.), were fifth at advanced at Pine Top Spring (Ga.) and placed 10th in the CIC*** at Red Hills (Fla.).

Jimmy’s Prediction: Michael Pollard and Wonderful Will went well last fall at the three-star level and have been successful this spring. However, the presence of so many international stars will keep Michael and Will just out of the top 10.
