Michael Etherington-Smith To Design Plantation Field Cross-Country

Plantation Field Equestrian Events has announced Michael Etherington-Smith as the cross-country course designer for the 2014 Plantation Field CIC***, scheduled for Sept. 19-21 in Unionville, Pa.

Plantation Field Equestrian Events has announced Michael Etherington-Smith as the cross-country course designer for the 2014 Plantation Field CIC***, scheduled for Sept. 19-21 in Unionville, Pa. 

Great Britain’s Etherington-Smith designed the Rolex Kentucky CCI**** cross-country for nearly 20 years, and he also designed the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games (Ky.) course, as well as the courses for the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games and 2008 Olympic Games in Hong Kong.

“We are thrilled to be able to have Mike design the Plantation three-star course,” said Denis Glaccum, president of Plantation Field Equestrian Events Inc., in a release. “The committee feels that his designing our course is a natural step in Plantation Field CIC’s dedication and commitment to providing the highest competitive experience to American eventers.”
