Wellington, FL – Oct. 22 – The 2013 International Equine Conference on Laminitis and Diseases of the Foot, Nov. 1-3 will take place in West Palm Beach and include key new features such as the “Owners Program”. The Owners Program is an interactive concentrated half-day program that will focus on the wellness of the horse. This is a perfect opportunity for owners, trainers and barn managers to talk to the panel of world-renowned experts on a variety of topics.
This year, attendees and experts will be developing a checklist for barns around the world. The “911 Laminitis Card” will be produced in Spanish and English and include a list of the 10 steps ‘TO DO’ if you suspect your horse has laminitis. The card will be a handy resource to help owners and handlers be prepared to respond and provide horses with the best chance of recovery until professional help arrives.
