Kraut Will Lead U.S. Team To Samsung Super League Farm

Laura Kraut, a stalwart of the U.S. Nations Cup teams this year, and Anthem will anchor the squad selected to contest the Samsung Super League series\' final event, the CSIO Barcelona (Spain), on Sept. 15-18.

McLain Ward, who\'s recovering from the broken collarbone he suffered while falling in the Nations Cup at Hickstead (England) on July 29, will ride Oasis. Jeffery Welles and Armani, members of the squad currently competing in Europe (as is Kraut), will join them. Lauren Hough, on Casadora, and Christine Tribble, on Promised Land, round out the contingent.

The alternate riders are Georgina Bloomberg and Aaron Vale.

The CSIO Barcelona is the final event of the Samsung Super League series, and the points the eight teams earn from placing there will count twice as much as those from the other events. With one more regular-season event to go\-he CSIO Aachen (Germany) on Aug. 25-28\-he U.S. team stands second, 5 points behind Germany.
