Lexington, KY – April 1, 2015  – The United States Hunter Jumper Association is pleased to announce the appointment of its new executive director and the implementation of other organizational changes to improve USHJA’s ability to serve and meet the needs of its members. Beginning on April 6, 2015, Kevin Price, a senior level leader with many years of leadership and management experience, will join USHJA as executive director.

“Kevin’s equestrian and management experience will be a great resource for leading the day-to-day operations of serving more than 44,000 members,” said President Bill Moroney. “As we make improvements to how we serve our membership through the implementation of our strategic plan, we look forward to continuing to offer the programs and services our members value.”

At the same time, USHJA is enhancing its planning capacity by enlisting the aid of ad hoc committees to guide the development of key aspects of the USHJA Strategic Plan adopted by the Board at the 2014 USHJA Annual Meeting. The Association has reorganized existing staff to create a new department—– the Sport and Association Services Department, consisting of communications, advertising and sponsorships, design, awards and merchandise, and the USHJA In Stride magazine. Also, the Association has developed a new position focused specifically on developing and launching new sport programs. These changes will help USHJA more effectively support the growing needs of sport programs and the association as a whole.
