Versailles, France—Aug. 1

The U.S. Equestrian Federation has announced a change ahead of the team competition for the U.S. Olympic Jumping Team today at Versailles. Karl Cook and Caracole De La Roque will replace Kent Farrington and Greya in today’s team qualifier, which begins at 11 a.m. local time (5 a.m. ET).

“There is a small question mark with Greya, which is allergy related, and erring on the side of extreme caution and with the no drop score in the format, we have made the decision to bring in Karl Cook and Caracole de la Roque,” Chef d’Equipe Robert Ridland said in a USEF press release.

Farrington and Greya were to be second in the U.S. team’s rotation and were 33rd in the order. Cook will take their place. This is Cook’s Olympic debut, and it is the second senior championship for the pair, who were members of the gold-medal team at last year’s Pan American Games (Chile).
