Wellington, FL (December 19, 2011) – Heather Bender, of Treasure Coast Dressage in Palm City, Florida, is a regular competitor at the Wellington Classic Dressage show series, and thanks to a beautifully decorated tack room and stable area at the Jim Brandon Equestrian Center show grounds during the Holiday Challenge, Bender was the happy recipient of the Schneiders Saddlery Tack Room Award. Sponsored by Schneiders Saddlery, a full service tack store offering a complete line of equestrian equipment, Bender won Schneiders EZ View Number System Dressage Saddle Pad.
Bender was thrilled with the win and said the logo on her curtains, part of her barn’s winning look, was a representation of her life in Florida as it features a palm tree, a horse and a parrot. “We are from Palm City and my fiancé’s business is raising parrots. We are a dressage facility and I think the logo really embodies the our atmosphere,” Bender said.
The accomplished dressage rider added that she enjoys setting up a nice tack room at the shows. “A great tack room area makes a nice home away from home where the everyone is working as a team and we are all supporting each other,” Bender said.
In addition to winning the Schneiders Saddlery Tack Room Award, Bender’s clients were in the ribbons – including winning classes – and Bender competed her full Irish Draught stallion in his first Fourth Level test. “Not many full Irish Draughts make it to the Prix St. Georges level, although my horse’s sire did. We are shooting for the FEI,” she said.

Bender thanked Schneiders for sponsoring the Tack Room Award and said, “I really appreciate that they are sponsoring this award and the dressage shows in Wellington. We aim to provide riders, trainers and owners with everything they need to train, show and enjoy their horses,” Pinnell said.
