Germany Announces Show Jumping Team For Paris Olympic Games

The German Equestrian Federation has announced the three show jumpers who will represent that country at the Paris Olympic Games, held Aug. 1-6.

“This time we decided early on which pairs should take place in the Olympic Games in order to give these riders security and to enable them to have an individual program for further preparation,” said national coach Otto Becker.

The following horse-and-rider combinations will compete:

• Christian Kukuk and Checker
• Richard Vogel and United Touch S
• Philipp Weishaupt and Zineday

The reserve combination will be decided during the CHIO Aachen (Germany). The following horses and riders are on the long-list:

• Kendra Claricia Brinkop and Tabasco De Toxadrine Z
• Hans-Dieter Dreher and Elysium
• Marcus Ehning and Coolio
• Christian Kukuk and Just Be Gentle and Mumbai
• Jörne Sprehe and Sprehe Hot Easy
• André Thieme and DSP Chakaria
• Jana Wargers and Dorette and Limbridge
