Germany’s national federation, Deutsche Reiterliche Vereinigung, announced its show jumping team for the Tokyo Olympics on July 3. The team is as follows:
- Daniel Deusser with Killer Queen VDM
- Christian Kukuk with Mumbai
- Maurice Tebbel  with Don Diarado
- André Thieme  with DSP Chakaria
The federation also announced its plan to substitute Tebbel in for the team competition, with Deusser, Kukuk and Thieme competing in the individual.
“The team decision is our top priority. We see the best possible chances of success if Maurice Tebbel and Don Diarado start for the team,” said national coach Otto Becker. ” Whoever competes in the Nations Cup with Maurice, we will decide on site.”

Israel also announced its team on July 3, with the team as follows:
- Ashlee Bond with Donatello 141
- Dannielle Goldstein Waldman with Queensland E
- Teddy Vlock with Amsterdam 27
- Alberto Michán with Cosa Nostra
The show jumping competition will take place Aug. 3-7.
