The Warmblood Studbook of Ireland has announced plans to launch the world’s first studbook dedicated exclusively to breeding international event horses.

The WSI, which specializes in collaborating with breeders to produce international show jumping horses, plans to provide a place for event horse breeders throughout the world to turn to for access to a structured breeding program designed to produce the athletic traits needed for success in the sport.

Over time, the WSI hopes to be able to breed eventing horses as reliably as other studbooks breed international show jumpers and dressage horses.
