Oliver Kennedy, show manager of Capital Challenge, said that if she had competed Kingston in the low amateur-owner division or taken a different horse in the WCHR class, she would have kept her first place ribbon. But using the same horse at the two different heights led to her disqualification.

Missy Luczak-Smith and Executive (Popeye K—Cloud Nine) now stand as the WCHR Low Amateur-Owner Challenge winners. The pair earned an average score of 86 from the judges, only 0.66 points behind Maxwell and Kingston. All other competitors moved up a place in the standings.
