The Chronicle of the Horse has three basic photo pay rates:

$30-regular-use photos retained in our files
$50-special-use photos retained in our files
$100-full-page color retained in our files

We do not pay for any photo not published. All photos are submitted on speculation. Photos appear in the magazine and on the website (www.chronofhorse.com). The majority of photos we publish are winners or champions of competitions that we cover. We also use action photographs of winners with the results of that competition. Remember, complete identification of the subjects in these photos is a necessity.

In addition, we urge you to send us shots that are unique, tell a story, are beautiful or funny, or just happen to catch someone at a special moment. We accept color  prints and digital images at a resolution of 300 dpi.

Photos must be received within one week of the last day of the show. This deadline is strictly enforced.
