Rising dressage star Lauren Sprieser is headed to Gladstone, N.J., with Clairvoya for the Brentina Cup at the Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF Dressage Festival Of Champions. She's agreed to blog for us about the competition and beyond.

Rising dressage star Lauren Sprieser is headed to Gladstone, N.J., with Clairvoya for the Brentina Cup at the Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF Dressage Festival Of Champions. She’s agreed to blog for us about the competition and beyond.

Lauren won team bronze and team gold for Region 2 at the 2003 and 2005 North American Junior and Young Rider Championships, respectively. She’s competed twice at the Brentina Cup before, placing third in 2006 aboard Bellinger. Last year she qualified Clairvoya for the Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF Intermediaire I Championship.

She hails from outside Chicago, Ill., but currently runs her own training and teaching business, Sprieser Sporthorse, in Marshall, Va.
