2014 AGDF5 CDI4*/3* Grand Prix Freestyle - Live Stream

What's better than one watching one Grand Prix freestyle via live stream? Watching two! We're streaming the Adequan Global Dressage Festival 5 CDI**** and CDI*** today, Feb. 7. The three-star begins at 3:20 p.m. EST and the four-star will take place at 7 p.m.

On Feb. 6, the mares ruled, with Lars Petersen riding Mariett to the win in the four-star Grand Prix, and Katherine Bateson-Chandler claiming first in the three-star Grand Prix with Wellnetta.

Does Eventing Need A New Division?

The jump from beginner novice to novice is four inches. It's the same from novice to training and training to preliminary. But as you get into the upper levels, with their increased speed and technicality, it's only a two-inch jump from preliminary to intermediate and from intermediate to advanced.

Is the time right to add a level between training and preliminary, creating a 3'5" division? That was the burning question at this year's U.S. Eventing Association Annual Meeting and Convention, held in Cincinnati, Ohio, from Dec. 4-8.

Byyny Earns Wings At Dutta Corp. Fair Hill International

Jan Byyny’s first thought when she finished her show jumping round in the Dutta Corp. Fair Hill International CCI*** with Inmidair was, “Oh no, I screwed up again.”

She thought she’d finished second because she had one rail down with “J.R.” Announcer Mike Tucker had said she needed to go clear to win before she went in the ring.

Werner Geven Is Riding For The Cure

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and eventer Werner Geven is riding for the cure by donning pink at all his competitions this month.

Geven and his wife Marjolein are originally from the Netherlands, and they moved to the United States in 2000 to train out of Poplar Place Farm in Hamilton, Ga.
