Cindeye enters first show in 28 years -- and lives! Update pg.4, Pics pg. 5
Yep, it's official. We've sent in the entries to Woodside and Rudy Leone's for May. I'll be showing A/A on Brownie Points while we look for a horse for Me, Me, Me...NO MORE HORSES FOR ANNIE BOOTS!
Here's Brownie Points AKA Teddy...he's soooooooo cute and carts me around like nobody's buz!: http://www.derbyhillfarm.com/pages/8/index.htm
Meanwhile, Annie's new greenie is learning to trot with Vanessa in the irons. I posted a trotting video of Tucker at: http://s78.photobucket.com/albums/j1...t=DSCN0868.flv
I'm thinking a lot of liquid courage will be needed at Woodside and Rudy's!

Cindeye, you have a lot more nerve than I do. I'm slowly building up the guts to show Harvey. Good luck!!! Another old fart enters the show ring. That is so great.
Great looking horses. They'll look fine with blue ribbons hanging from their bridles.
People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint - it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly... timey wimey... stuff.

YOU CAN DO IT!!!
If I can do it after a long time like that, so can you!
Check out my webshots for El's and my last foray.
In fact, BNH is coming out here in a few weeks, and I am taking another stab at showing with her poking and prodding Els and I into the ring.
Liquid courage helps.

BTW
Have you laid out your outfits for the shows?
Like what breeches, with which coats and shirts.
You need to be completely colour coordinated dear!
And change outfits between classes if at all possible.
LOL

Scotchie...don't hold your breath waiting for me to have enough ribbons to make a quilt! You'll be turning blue.
Bumpkin...still working through the agony that is new boots. Oh my aching ankles! And, of course, you realize that I am not qualified/allowed to pick out my own show clothes. I have Ms. Van to tell me what I'm allowed to buy and wear!
Propped Up...see you at Rudy's on Memorial Day?
Thanks to all of you for the positive words. What's that phrase I'm thinking of??? Better to be thought a fool than to ride in public and confirm the fact?

Good to hear you got Professional help on the clothes, haha.
Good lord, I hope you have zippers in those boots!

You got your premium? I don't think I got mine...maybe I lost it. Anyway, since there are 3 shows 3 weeks in a row, my trainer says we are going to the Pickwick Summer Show at Brookside and to Rudy's for Beach Party...not Golden State on Memorial Day. I am trying to tell her 2 weeks in a row is TOO much for an old lady. So far she hasn't listened. If I have my way I will see you at Golden State, and be riding in the A/A's with you. If not, maybe I can come watch.

Well it sounds as if you're ready to be inducted into the re-rider association
You'll do fine because anything is better than you expect. Enjoy and put a little vodka in the morning orange juice so you won't feel the pain.

I watched the video you put up- your trainer sounds hilarious, like the kind of guy I would want to train with. Of course, the ring is gorgeous, too, which is another thing I like. And they horse. Okay, you know what? I like it all!

Stupid question number 1 - what's a premium? Is that the same thing as a prize list? And where is that term used?
