Default Boston Terrier that has a genetic paw issue --??

My sister has a friend with a Boston Terrier who has chronic raw, ulcerated paws that she licks alot. She has been treated by several vets, including holistic. The diagnosis is "genetic condition". Has anyone ever heard of this in a Boston Terrier or other breed. Not sure if she's a puppy mill production, which could be a big component. Just wondered if anyone has experience with this or have any suggestions. Thanks!

I have a boston and know several others who do as well. I haven't seen that issue before. Jingles for the poor pup.

Bostons are prone to allergies so perhaps this is a manifestation of that? What in specific did the vet say?

We have had Bostons for many years and have never had an issue with allergies but it apparently is not uncommon in dogs coming from poor breeders.
