Is it odd that tack in the tack room is selling in the auction?
Very cool place!

Probably not if you knew the total owed the bank. Decent facility.

It is, but nobody is gonna buy it since it's worthless as a business. There simply is no money in owning and running that place.

I know of several folks that have registered to bid tomorrow. Someone will definitely buy it. How successful it will be remains to be seen.

Wow, I've been to Stone Bridge many times for shows.
Hope whoever gets it can make a go of it. It's a gorgeous facility in a very beautiful area of Virginia.

Everything right down to the phone in the office is for sale - whoever buys it will have to start from scratch before they can put a horse there.

Not that I'm in any position to even consider buying, but what kind of shape are the facilities in?

What a gorgeous looking place. I'll be curious to see how much it goes for. It was interesting to me that the place looked so fabulous but that little house looked much less attractive.

The owner lives off site - there is an apt over the barn which has housed the barn managers or trainers of the past. The small white house sits on the road by the entrance and houses the barn staff.

Went for 980,000.00. Winning bid was made via phone so I hear..

That's fairly low, considering the area and everything that comes with the property.

Aww..that looks familiar. I believe my daughter did one of her first ever events there, maybe in 2002 or 2003? Her horse was stabled up on the hill overlooking the XC start. We took some beautiful pictures. Was it called at the time Fancy Hill or Funny Hill farm?
I heard later that it was no longer hosting events and was H/J instead.
Only part of me worries...the other part doesn't believe in it.

Yes, it used to be Fancy Hill Farm
