Finally a video (Post #11) from the Huntfield AQHA Derby Finals 2012
The Huntfield AQHA Derby Finals were held at the 2012 AQHA World Show. Congratulations to Lainie Deboer and David Warner for pulling off a fabulous first year for this series, and organizing volunteers, supporters and $40K in prizes including 3 Butet Saddles, two to the winners of the Open and Non-Pro divisions, and one as a random draw from all entries in the 2012 events.

I believe AQHA was a little suprised at how cool this all was.

The decorations on the FB page made it all look like such fun. Loved how AQHA was spelled out in green and red apples!!

A lot of hard work went into this. Judges were Dawn Casey from Oklahoma and Steve Wall from Wisconsin/California - both USEF R carded judges with AQHA Specialty O/F Cards.
If you have a registered QH 3' - 3'3" hunter, it is well worth it to watch for a Huntfield Derby at an AQHA show near you next year.

That looks like great fun, thanks for sharing. I have my eye on these for my now-2 year old Appendix -- please keep doing them!
Did they jump the apple cart? It looks bigger than the other fences but it would be a cool jump...unless someone hit it and all the apples came off, like in the Oceanspray commercial.

Wow, the pictures are terrific. I would love to see one of these in person. What a dream to get to ride in one!
I heard a neigh. Oh, such a brisk and melodious neigh as that was! My very heart leaped with delight at the sound. --Nathaniel Hawthorne

Is that arena as huge as it looks? Nice, big forward courses. I really enjoyed watching that.
