Well since someone had to bring this subject up, could someone please buy Canter PA's Calm and Collected so that I don't. I have two Canter Cuties in my barn now, and I do not have the time but he...............is one handsome hunk of horsey and a hard knocker to boot.
Why must the pretty ones always be somewhere else??? I'm trying to find a new horse but we never get ones like the ones back East it seems. Or as many. The last one I really liked was gone within about 24 hours! He showed up Wed was gone late Thurs afternoon. It pays to live closer to the track obviously! I wasn't going to be able to get there until Sat. Oh well. Back to looking for the perfect one.
trainers on the track are usually pretty flexible on price. Some won't budge but towards the fall/winter seasons; you can get a great horse for very cheap. I've been to the track and had trainers trying to hand me free horses. The horses at Finger Lakes are really nice! A friend of mine purchased one and he is lovely.
I took this guy's information for CANTER back in September, and I would have taken him home in a heartbeat if I hadn't just gotten a new one. Just a sweet, really well-balanced horse, and I don't recall his pasterns being as long as they appear in the picture.
Well, considering he's actually standing on a hump of land with his toes pointed downhill....
Wow, you guys are really tough!
I took the listing on this horse. FWIW there was not a single good spot to take a picture on this farm. The most level places had too much distraction in the background. I didn't think his pics were bad at all considering some of those that have already been posting. I took this ad a while ago....and the horse is now moving much better. His ankles appeared clean but he had just raced an they were a tad warm at the time. He is a cute as a button.
