Just read most of thus thread and I'm confused as to what part of the body that you are referring to.
You said arthritis on the knee cap. And then other posters started talking about chips in the knee and knee arthritis.
Are you talking about arthritis on the patella in the stifle joint. (hind leg)?
Are you referring to arthritis in the carpal joint (front leg) that people often call a knee?
I am assuming that you mean the stifle because the carpal joint does not have a "knee cap".
So, if you are referring to the stifle, are the vets calling it OCD?
Is it on the side of the patella that the ligaments glide through or is it on skin side? Tendons glide over that side as well. If the vet can't palpate it and he doesn't flex positive I wouldn't worry too much.
How did this come up? Did the race trainer disclose it or did your trainer x ray for prepurchase?
Very cool. He is lovely looking. And given his pedigree and conformation....I have very little doubt that he will have more than enough jump for her. And 60 starts with legs that clean and a pretty clean PPE with xrays....I really really wouldn't be worried.
Only thing...he says he wants to be an event horse not a hunter Have fun with him!
