Default Remembering a Champion - Hickstead - 1 yr ago today

Remembering this great horse has made me a bit sad today. I remembering being in the barn and my son called me - I couldn't believe it.

I love this video of them together - must be a hard day for Eric and all those that loved this great horse.

Hickstead was just inducted into the Jump Canada Hall of Fame on Sunday night.
It is Royal Winter Fair time again and I remember the sadness last year when the news spread. I remember the lines to buy those armbands. I remember Eric participating in what is now the Hickstead International FEI competition. I remember the supporting crowd when he came into the arena.

Hickstead (and Big Ben) are the only horses that the general Canadian public knows....

Probably a difficult day for Eric, but he knows how Hickstead has touched everyone.

Wow I can't believe it's been a whole year. How sad. That was an amazing pair and Hickstead should not be forgotten.
