Red face Well, I thought it was funny!

We were having some fun with our hurricane prep so I put my pom's life jacket on my cat. The pom is an avid jet skier so she needs the life jacket. The cat, not so much but it was hilarious, especially the end.

Reminded me of when we were kids and would dress up the cats. For some reason, like yours, they would just fall over and not move! At least yours would float

We joked that her flopping over and lying there was her will to live leaving her body! It was good to have a belly laugh during such a tense situation.

When I was a kid I would dress my cat up in doll clothes (think a dress and a bonnet), put her on her back in my dolly baby carriage, and trundle her around the house. She put up with this due to the pieces of bologna I'd feed her. Sainted kitteh . . . . .

She probably would have laid on her back in a carriage all day long. It was standing up that she wasn't willing to do!

There is an old video with a dressed up cat trying to jump on a couch. He flopped over backwards and just laid there.

Cats do not seem to like any type of clothing but I have one that will wear a hat my daughter knitted. We'll put it on him while he's sleeping and find him walking around the house with it on his head an hour later.

Kitteh was very vociferous in his/her protest!

I also thought it was funny s/he carried something along on a paw... "See, mom, I AM prepared! I have a towel to dry off with!"
