    Default Keeping stall nice

I just moved my girl into a stall that has an attached run. She mostly poops outside but likes to pee inside. I wish someone would invent clumping litter for horses. I am bedding with shavings. Any words of wisdom? Thanks.

Put a layer of softened stall pellets underneath the shavings and then scoop out the saturated spots. My gelding is on 24/7 turnout (gravel paddock with access to his stall), at night he prefers to pee in his stall. I just scoop out those spots every day. Pellets do a far better of capturing urine than shavings do.

Toss a small bucket of shavings pellets (no need to soften them) in the pee spot when you clean. fluff the shavings over them.

Swell idea, however, she'd have to hold it for a long long time if I were the wee wee monitor!. I'll try the idea of the stall pellets. At least she does seem to have a "favorite" pee spot.

I second this. This is what I do with my geldings. But it's easier with them since the boys always pee in the center of the stall. But if you know where she usually pees, then you're set. I use a lot fewer shavings doing this.

I use pellets in my run-in that's matted. Mucho easier
