I just came onto COTH today, and half of my screen is RED! It makes it hard to see the topics as the names and other stuff are so bright. Can I be the only one, or can this be changed, please?

Agree, PLEASE go back to the green. This is hurting my eyes and making it difficult to read

It does raise the blood pressure a bit as we're conditioned to pay attention to RED -- stop lights, error messages.

Probably needs to be brought up in the Help forum instead of OT though.

First rule of process control computer displays: NEVER EVER place red text on a blue background or vice-versa. They're on the opposite ends of the color spectrum and virtually impossible for the eye to focus on.

I have Internet Explorer 9 and I don't see red on most of the screen. The print is black. On the main page where the threads are listed, the topics are dark blue with the only red print being who started the thread - and even then it's only topics that are "new" or have new comments added. The old threads are not colored.

I do agree that the red print on the main threads page should be toned down... perhaps to a bergundy?

It doesn't show up as red in Internet Explorer, only Firefox (and I am assuming Chrome).

The same for me on Safari.

I didn't even notice that red color until some started complaining about the red.
Then I noticed and thought that bit is what was bothering them.

Sounds now like there is more than just that for some?

Shows up as red on internet explorer on my PC.

Definitely not a well-thought through decision.
