It does not make any sense to charge live feed for the National Horse Show to anyone who is a USHJA member. Honestly, that should be one of our perks.

Gotta agree that it's a privilege to be able to watch for free. There's a lot of things a show should spend money on before live feed. We're all super should and lucky to have the ability too have the kind of coverage we've had so far. Don't think the show should have to provide I t to people who are in no way contributing money to the show.

Capital Challenge, Washington, and Harrisburg all did it. And it wasn't their first year live streaming it. Why can't The National Horse Show do it?

Why do they have to? The horse shows are providing a free service to people who largely are not supporting them financially. Strikes me we shouldn't be complaining, particularly as the National is giving us the weekend (and thus the most popular classes) completely for free. Complaining about not having an extremely expensive service provided full-time for free, just because other horse shows did it, smacks of entitlement to me.

They don't have to, but they would be smart to stream it. If they were charged 300k for the service they probably got hosed.

People are always crying about the cost of horse shows (me included) and how it's cheaper to show in Europe because they have sponsors. They have more sponsors because their events are televised. For once we are keeping up with technology and live streaming these events. Some one needs to show advertisers that the WIHS had over 300,000 viewers and probably could have had more if the feed wasn't so horrible. Get the product placements in the ring. Show commercials during course walks and set ups. Present the winners with a bottle of diet coke to chug on camera.

Money is out there to be made. Not by limiting who can watch it but by selling the product.

I don't have a subscription to ShowNet. For some reason it let me see the results for the Hampton Classic back when it was happening, but it won't let me see the results for the National. If anyone with a subscription is "bored," I would love to see the placings for the green conformation

You are welcome! And thanks to Shownet for the results

The arena is beautifully decorated! I'd love to ride in there. Unfortunately the live feed sucks at the moment - it is stalling like crazy and then quits all together every other ride. I have yet to see a whole round (and I paid!!).

My gosh, only 6 in the Regulars at the National? Eek.

I sincerely hope they all just didn't want to ship in the storm.
