    Default Widening a Hennig saddle

Who would you trust to widen a Hennig saddle? I've heard some horror stories from different saddle fitters about saddles coming back with their trees bent and so forth. My horse is just starting to develop out of the MN setting, and needs it widened about 1 cm. For the moment, I'm just going to change out his pad for only a waffle pad. Advice?

    I'm in CA. Thanks!

Check with Hennig for a list of certified/authorized fitters - assuming your saddle still has a tree warranty: unfortunately any tree can suffer unexpectedly (catastrophically ) when altered, fortunately most get through the process just fine

But do ask the fitter how they intend to do the deed (I was considering a saddle that a local fitter offered to adjust, then revealed that her technique would void any tree warranty )

I used Skylands Saddlery in NJ, they are Hennig certified and did a great job, but I'm not sure if that's a reasonable option for you in CA? If you call them and talk to Ronnie, maybe she can suggest a closer solution?

    Default hennigs are adjustable, right?

Hi, I was under the impression that Hennigs are adjustable?
