So that ebay saddle is a legit saddle? Wow. I thought it was someone's crazy attempt at being a DIY saddler. The stitching looks terrible, the panels look wonky and it looks like you could just wad it up in a ball. When I think exercise saddle I've always pictured something like this: http://i.ebayimg.com/t/Crosby-Racing...F3w~~60_35.JPG

Yep. Yours is a great example, but the one linked previously is one too. I know a few riders that prefer the former for youngsters, or when they're first backing horses so that if something happens their nice expensive saddle isn't the one that gets hurt.

Sam: Oh. I've never liked those.

I see photos like the jumping one and I think, horses are really wonderful forgiving creatures.... Rev. Buck is putting all his weight on that poor thing's withers.

The inclusion of the too restrictive martingale on the spirit bridle makes it all so amusing.

Do we have an explanation for the ankle chains, or should I even ask a question I don't want the answer to?

Well from what I read in the long-dead threads I dug up the other night it seems the ankle chains were supposed to make the horse pick up his feet.

Of course the tequila haze was getting pretty thick at that point so possibly I mis-read. But I think that was the gist of it.

Looks like the AQHA came up with a class to foil the Dragon's case. http://www.aqha.com/Showing/News-Art...ons-Added.aspx

It seems Mr. Buck can't afford the $500.00 + required to serve the defendants.

Love how he wants to re-file in the future, then the date says 20012.

I'd say that was waaaay in the future!

I guess sales are down on the spirit bridle.

That's actually a really fun class, I had some great fun watching amateurs, novices, and pros all come together to fill the class at our local A AQHA shows this year, and all of them were planning to write/email AQHA to get the full spectrum added.
