Default My hunter pony at the Hunter Pace today!

Took my jumper mare, my lesson mare who does the hunters, and my hunter pony to a hunter pace today. They did 3-4' banks and steps, stone walls, ditches, and lots of drop fences and brush fences. All three had fun.

I don't think my hunter pony was going to clear this though http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/m...HunterPace.jpg

Awesome! Hunter paces are so much fun. I miss doing them. There's a spring series in my area that my best friend and I might try for with our young guys (probably just the flat ones for the first year) if we can keep fit enough through the winter.
Life would be infinitely better if pinatas suddenly appeared throughout the day.

My friend and student on my mare that did the Baby Greens this year said she wants to just do Hunter Paces now since they are so much more fun then horse shows. I told her we sadly do not live out East where they have them more often I would definitly be up for doing more Hunter Paces then shows

Nothing more fun than a hunter pace (in good weather)!

We did a hunter pace this weekend, too .. and won! Ours had mostly coops and stone walls ranging from 2'6" to 3'.
