Default Leatherdale Hanoverian Inspection...what a lovely time!

I attended the Hanoverian inspection at Leatherdale Farm (MN) yesterday and had such a wonderful experience. A friend was bringing a Danish mare (Come Back II) and her Wolkentanz II filly for approval (which they got), so we arrived the night before. The staff was great, it's a beautiful facility and both Doug and Louise were incredibly welcoming and gracious hosts. They also provided a professional handler, which I thought was fantastic to do. I've only been to two other registry inspections, but the handler is so important as we all know, and this was the first one I've been to where a handler was available.

I hadn't heard about the Hanoverian futurities before either, so that was nice to learn about.

Lots of beautiful horses. There was an athletic Jazz mare, who was the high scoring mare (and did pretty darn well in the jump shoot too) that I wanted to take home with me quite badly, but all of the horses were very high quality.

I was really impressed. Hopefully someone has some pictures to share. My phone wasn't quite up to the task in the indoor.

I couldn't agree more about the hospitality provided by the Leatherdales and their staff! Their generosity is a huge asset to the equine community here in MN.

The photographer was Sue Kyllonen and she is a true artist.

Great day seeing lovely horses and meeting new friends.

I did actually know that. Oops. Trying to type while on hold at work. I am not a good multitasker!
