We have a new stallion prospect!
I'm so excited!!!
We flew to the UK and saw over 800 ponies -- and fell in love with this boy. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to decide between the various colts I had planned to look at, but the choice ended up being easy, though we really liked almost every colt we looked at. We visited many farms, including the farm where the new colt was bred so I could see sire/dam/family, and then also went to a huge pony sale with over 500 ponies. It was there that I was able to purchase him, but not without fighting off a lot of other bidders!
I had a long list of very specific things I needed/wanted in the next stallion prospect, and he meets everything on my list -- right down to the shape of his ears and nostrils!
Meet Laithehill Wild Wind! He is currently in quarantine and will arrive in North America later this month! We are thrilled!!!
Here is his pedigree: http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/laithehill+wild+wind
These photos were taken by a very nice man named Rob Jones, who has graciously allowed me to use them. (I never got my own camera out because it was raining.)

Adorable!
What a fancy pony! He looks like a wee version of my hearthorse, Penny. She's that beautiful dark gold palomino with four whites and a huge blaze too.

Thank you so much, everyone!!! I am SO looking forward to getting him home. It's very hard to wait patiently...
(I apologize for my tardy response -- somehow my regular desktop computer suddenly stopped showing COTH yesterday, and nothing I've done has seemed to help! Finally figured that it still works on my laptop. So weird!)
