Jingles needed for a friend *Update: he's gone*
Her 30yo (guesstimated) guy has been pasture-boarded for the last few years and doing fine until recently.
She got a call this morning that he's been having trouble breathing and farmowner thinks it may be his time.
Call is in to their vet, so no final determination yet.
Please jingle for this guy.
He's a sweet horse and deserves a good end, if indeed, that is what's needed.
Jingles too for my friend who feels she cannot be there and is feeling pretty broken up.
I told her she does not have to be physically present - if it upsets her, it will upset him.
So please take a moment to think of ConMan (Conservative Manner) & the woman who loves him today.

Jingles for ConMan and his human!
Flip a coin. It's not what side lands that matters, but what side you were hoping for when the coin was still in the air.
You call it boxed wine. I call it carboardeaux.

I just got her email telling me he's gone.
We'll talk tonight and I'll let her know he's in the thoughts of a good many horsepeople.
RIP, ConMan - on to a bigger, greener pasture <- the biggest & greenest.

I haven't lost a horse in a while - hopefully I won't for a few more years anyway - but I could drink to this sentiment!
Jingles for your friend and her horse.

Gentle hugs to his owner, and let her know many of us understand and have gone through this.
Godspeed, good horse.

When my first horse galloped to the Rainbow Bridge (he was an OTTB, after all) I felt some relief and had many years of good memories to cherish -- he was older and I felt he thought it was time.
This time I struggle with it being okay to be so SO sad and it helps a surprising amount when people tell me it's okay. Maybe that will be of some use to you.

So sorry for your friend. I have an almost 33 year old in the pasture and each day I step out wondering if it will be that day.
RIP Con Man.

It is always hard to lose our much loved friends, but it sounds like Con Man had a wonderful and long life. I hope the memory of all the happy times shared with him will be a joy and a comfort to your friends. They live on in our hearts forever.
