(For the record, I emailed Der Dau to see what it would cost to put in zippers and an elastic panel- $450- HA!). I figure for that price, I can get them altered a bit- then they will truly be custom!

    Oh and they are gorgeous!!!!
Glad to hear they are gorgeous -- and interesting about the logo stuff. Makes me feel better about being able to re-sell if they aren't right. Still, for $149? How far wrong can you go? And not a deal breaker if I have to put zippers in.

Does anybody know how Der Dau's foot sizing compares to Ariat? (same, run small/large?). Want to grab a pair of these but have never tried Der Dau's on. TIA!

Thought I'd update- My Der Dau's arrived today!! They do not have the silver logo on the swagger tab, but arrived in a Der Dau box, and are stamped on the inside. The fit absolutely beautifully, though the foot is a little (not much) larger than Ariats.
I bought these thinking I'd just resell them, but they're too nice to part with!

I got this Stanley-type trunk at Lowe's for $54 on clearance. It has the same capacity as the more expensive Stanley, a flat top (I like the flat better than the Stanley) and a built-in lock; no wheels, though. The cheapest I've seen the Stanley is $68 and most places it runs from $100+. Someone on off-course said they've had the same one for 10 years and it's still going strong!

Got my boots. Oddly, mine have neither the metal logo on the tab nor the stamp inside. They just have a tag inside that says "The Elite". They are really nice, and fit beautifully. I usually wear a 6 1/2 or 7 shoe and the 6 1/2 is snug but not uncomfortable. The calf fits perfectly -- I measure a hair under 15" and their 15" inch is just right. Don't even need zips but may just for the convenience factor.

Aww shoot, my stupid huge calves don't even come close!! I'd be an XXXL (seriously a 15.5 calf). The last boots I got, I went up a size in the foot, not too big a deal, to get a calf that fit and then had to have the tops taken in. Boo!

    Keep up the deals!

my boot just came in from the der dau sale from the tack shop and they also have a tag in them that say "the elite" made usa size 6 xlarge calf.

i spoke to the tack shop in camden

here's the scope they are der dau boots what happened is the company (der-dau) did not know what to call them so they are using several names

in my case it is the elite by der dau the shop said that i would be able to send that back to der dau for repairs if needed as it is by them. hope this helps everyone!

That is a steal! Wow. I don't think I have ever seen one go that inexpensively.

    Default Birmingham jumps

I bought two of the sets from eBay. Some other lucky person scarfed up the stone wall and boxes. They were a decent deal and the they are very nice to use. Especially the wing standards. The gate is heavier than I would hae expected. I get to try them before committing myself to a whole course! I spent 50 in gas though. Lol

    Default Horze women's boots

Im waiting for my order to come. If I was 20 years younger I'd buy the Susie tall boots at 50% off. So soft and stylish.

Did anyone try the paddock boots.? I'm looking for comfort and quality.

I bet people were leery buying a saddle from someone with so little feedback. And all she's sold is saddles, in all different sizes recently. Makes you pause for a moment and wonder if they're stolen?!

Here is a Hermes saddle for under $500. Seems like a good deal to me.

Nah, that's about what small size plan flap saddles go for.

    Welcome to the boards!

Do a search of completed auctions on eBay. Plain flaps in small sizes just don't go for much...

TOTD has semi-lined fleece pads for $89.75 made by Equine Comfort Products in CC, all purpose, and dressage. I don't need another pad, I don't need another pad!

I don't need another pad either BUT, how bad would it be to show in the hunters in one of the cream colored ones? Thoughts?
