Very sad news for Totalis
http://www.dressage-news.com/?p=17369
Since this is where Anky and Peter Kittle train I guess it's only a matter of time before the pics and video of poor Totalis being cranked, yanked and bloody start to surface............
Flame suit in tact. Someone has to start being relentless about these abusive training methods or they will obviously continue. The FEI may think they can stop the outrage by hiding it behind pink screens, but some of us are determined to not give up.

What I find sad is your spelling.

Flame suit without tact, actually.
I'd also wager the IOC was more in charge of the pink screens than the FEI, but by all means carry on.

CNM161 and theHorseProblem, you are my new heroes for providing much needed laughs this pm. I'm currently placing an order for one of those flame suits without tact...in blood red in homage to Anky and all those other abusers that certain people love to hate.

Hey! Don't knock the split infinitive. Although I'd go so far as to say they can be vulgar at times which sounds better?
"To Boldly Go where no man has gone before"
or
"To Go Boldly..."
I'll take the first one, split infinitive or not.

I think it's only right that we begin funeral arrangements NOW for Toto. After all, he was an international star, and there will be tremendous coverage when he ends up bloody and dead at the hands of those abusive Dutch trainers. So, I have a song ready, and don't get all peeved with me for not being original. I have never claimed to be original. Rather, I am adept at plagiarizing. Here is the song I have come up with with the music from "poor Jud" in the musical "Oklahoma." Undoubtedly the lyrics could stand some improvements, so please feel free to contribute your ideas on how to improve this. We want the best possible send off for this dressage rock star, so please be imaginative...well, until the moderator comes and shuts us dowm.
Poor Tote is dead
Poor To To is dead
All gather round his coffin now and cry
He won a lot of gold
And he wasn't very old
Oh why did such a horsey have to die?
Poor Tote is dead
Poor To To is dead
He's lookin' oh so peaceful and serene
He's all laid out to rest
With chin against his chest
His braided mane has never been so clean
Then the Anti--Rollkurs'd get up and say
"Folks, we are gathered here today to groan over our beloved To To
Who hung hisself up by draw reins in the indoor"
And then there'd be weepin' an' wailin' --- from some of those women ---
Then he'd say, "Tote was the most rollkur abused horse in this whole universe
We all used to think he was a flamboyant fella and called him BTV
and a flipping toed mover
[Tote gives a dirty look]
But
The folks that really knowed him
Knowed that beneath them gold medals he always wore
There beat a heart as big as all outdoors
To To loved his Ed ward
He loved the grain in his bucket
And the grass in the fields
He loved the mice and the vermin in the barn
And he treated Ed ward like an equal (which was right)
He loved all the little Ankys
He loved everything and everybody in the world
Only . . . only he never let on
And nobody ever knowed it
[sung]
Poor Tote is dead
Poor To To is dead
His friends are weepin' wail for miles around
Naysayers on the BB
Will give an altered O B
Because poor Tote passed away still sound
Poor Tote is dead
Poor victim of abuse
He's layin' in a coffin made of wood
And folks are feelin' sad
'Cuz they used to treat him bad
And now they know their friend has gone for good
Poor Tote is dead
Poor victim of abuse
He's lookin' oh so purty and so nice
He looks like he's asleep
It's a shame that he won't keep
But it's summer and we're runnin' out a' ice

That's funny, DH and I were just discussing that the other night when STTNG came on. No comparison. Sometimes the imperative must be split.
And there's probably a grammatical error somewhere in my post.

Not in the least. If we're going to have a grammar lesson, no reason we can't expand it to include spelling.
