    Default SmartGut vs Succeed?

The ingredients are quite different, but would like to keep my horse on something long term as an ulcer preventative (just went through a month of gastroguard treatment).

Both have really great reviews on smartpak...

Thoughts from the more feed/supplement savvy people? Thanks!

I would like to suggest you try our Gastra FX as a safe, and effective maintenance plan The horses love the taste (no sugar or chemicals).

Alright... add Gastra FX into the equation, as well as the Platinum Gastric Support. The more research I do, the more conflicted I am. There are so many options with so many reviews.

Just wanted to add, hay is fed 3 times a day in order to try and keep hay in front of the horse as much as possible.

My 2 have been on Smartgut for about a year and I think it works great and the price is right!!

My older boy was treated for ulcers about 1 1/2 years ago and he has been great since.

My trainer swears by Succeed, she's tried everything else and say that its the only thing that works. No personal experience yet, will most likely put my ulcer prone horse on Succeed after this BPR treatment.

Have you looked into Aborezole? Its supposed to work really well and it is much cheaper then ulcergard. Same ingredients just in a different form.

I have used both succeed and smartdigest ultra. The only difference I found was in my wallet

Thanks everybody! I appreciate all the replies. Keep 'em coming

I'm leaning towards going with smartgut, since it seems people have had good experience with it, and it's half the price. all the other products seem to be at about $3 a day, while smartgut is $1.5.

Definitely looking into all the other supplements you guys suggested.

    Ditto this.

Smart Digest Ultra is Smartpak's answer to Succeed. Smart gut is a different type of product, at least that is my understanding.

Have been very happy with results in multiple horses on Smart Digest Ultra.

    Good luck with your horse!

I've used SmartGut sucessfully for a TB suspected of mild ulcers. IMO Succeed is just too expensive to warrant trying, but each to their own. I've also used SmartDigest Ultra on a different horse and liked what a saw there as well.

You could always consider Tractgard, my personal favorite for inexpensive "maintenance".
