Isn't there another Eurocommerce horse competing?

I don't know much about this, Eurocommerce is going bankrupt apparently and on another board I read the rumor has it Ben Maher (where horse is kept at present) might be interested in buying, but there's also been an offer from Qatar.
London's value is estimated to be as high as Totilas it said.

That's what I read too. I also read that all their horses are up for sale and being auctioned.

There's also an offer from Saudi Arabia. I honestly hope that Ben gets the horse than Saudi Arabia or Qatar.

I wonder how the horse ended up at Ben Maher's barn. Yard. Whatever.
Poor Schroder, especially if it came as a surprise. What a week for him! "It was the best of times. It was the worst of times."

I also hope London goes to Ben Maher, but who knows, if he ends up being auctioned ....

I'm guessing if it is that far gone for Eurocommerce, Schroder has probably been footing the competition bill for some time. Here's guessing he's not surprised at anything other than maybe the timing... And maybe not even that. There may have well been an agreement between his operation and the bank to fund the Olympics since any win by the team or horse individually would only recoup some of their lost investments.

Sad If he has to be sold, I hope he ends up with Ben Maher.

Eurocommerce has been tetering on the edge for months. The Ferraris - at least ten of them - were confiscated the third week of June. Approximately €650 million owed to banks needs to be repaid.

Yikes. That would take a lot of horse sales. Even Olympic horses.

Apparently, according to the COTH report that just showed up here, Eurocommerce is already IN bankruptcy and court enforced and supervised liqudation mode.
So much for sponsorships as an answer... . bummer for the rider...what a downer.

Yes and PhelpSports is reporting that Schroder wasn't aware of the bankruptcy. The owners never told him? What a week he's had. The joy of competing and medaling in the Olympics and then having the horse you rode seized right after. Ouch! I would not be happy if I were him!

Could've been worse. What if the horse had been seized as soon as his feet hit UK soil? It's not hard to imagine the creditors weighing the risk of increasing the horse's value with a medal win vs. sustaining a career-ending injury and opted for the safe route.

If he didn't know, he was the only person in Holland that didn't. It's been all over the news for months. They took the cars in June already - even Eurocommerce's website had the BK noted on it on July 12. Of course he knew.
