Tormenting... I mean... "training" your babies.
Heh... took these pictures today of our "training" session. I can see where this will be a very useful skill in the future... (if she decides to become a moose when she grows up)
Anyone else have any fun pics of ways you torment... er... I mean train your young horses. ;-p

Awww, you have a baby moose too?
I have draped tarps over, hung saddle pads on, laid feed bags on, etc, backs. I want them to be quite ok with things making noise and moving around. Nothing huge, no " we are going to work on this NOW" thing, but just in the moment, no pressure kind of deal. With my first one it probably didn't matter - he just accepted everything all the time LOL My current yearling probably wouldn't have cared either if I waited until he was older, but c'mon, sometimes it's just fun, you have the props, you have the time, and why not!

awww! I see you have the rare special purple camouflage moose. Mine is the more common beige work-antler variety. ;-p
Sometimes I like to pretend that my baby moose and I are going to the seashore...

and I feel that moose literacy is very important. So whenever we put on our saddlepad jammies, we often get a bedtime story to go with them. ;-p ;-p

(love your baby JB! Do you have any more pics???)

Uh oh... This might be titled: Water Safetee - UR doin it RONG" ?

This was in his two year old year though , so it wasn't quite as much fun as tormenting them when they are younger.
Definition of "Horse": a 4 legged mammal looking for an inconvenient place and expensive way to die. Any day they choose not to execute the Master Plan is just more time to perfect it. Be Very Afraid.

LOL! I feel like I'm being handicapped by living in a desert. I had no idea that water safety was so important!
I mean Carlos even has his own LIFEGUARD!!
and I am SO jealous of your creek DMK. That looks like SO much fun.

But you should take water safety very seriously in the desert. Flash flooding, don'cha know...
Oh dear, and it's thundering right now. Excuse me while I go and strap a corgi life jacket to her head. Must. Keep. Baby. Moose. Water. Safe.
