Hoping it is a typo and they didn't mean snake food.
Had a co-worker with a python that lived in Philly that claimed he would catch local cats to feed to his python since he couldn't afford rats and bunnies. I am hoping he was saying that to get a rise out of me.

Guessing they wouldn't have given shots/wormed snake food kitties.
Oh, well, clearly you're not thoroughly indoctrinated to COTH yet, because finger pointing and drawing conclusions are the cornerstones of this great online community. (Tidy Rabbit)

LOL, can't afford bunnies? Or rats?

Yep, he was trying to get a rise out of you.

Reminds me of one of those David Letterman small-town news segments! This has to have been 20 years ago, but one of these featured a little local paper with an article about the upcoming Methodist Church bbq. The article listed the menu, which included fried children.
