Hillcrest Better Than Blue was started by Kimberly Vernell, who rode with Trudy Glefke out of Roads End Farm in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. Kim also started Summer Wind.

TT Howell, Scott and Elise Novick, Red Pfohl, Daryl and Laura Pirtle, Betsy Smith, Cami and Krinci Bonino, Megan Trueman, and Ashley Girl also rode ponies with Trudy in the 1980s.
