    I think I did.

As I told Dezi this a.m. as I was driving to work, the lump of coal has been inserted in my hiney, and in just 30 days we shall see if I've made a diamond.

Training Rider division at Holly Hill.

Holy moly - this dressage test is making my eyes hurt!

Robby, we all have to die someday and what better grand and glorious way to live! I'll lay good money that in 31 days you will be entering the next training competition.

You're a good man, Ayers. I will totally drink at least 12 for you on Sunday night! Thanks!

With so much that has changed for me, it's interesting to realize that I'm still making progress. Rhodey tends to be a wonderful benchmark for me.

I never thought when he walked off that trailer three and a half years ago that I'd be here typing this, because I had no expectations from him. I can truly say with him the journey has been the thing.

And after his run at KY, I think he's got enough game to at least have a go!

Go Robby! That's great news - I loved the video clips you had on your other thread. You guys make a lovely pair and I'm sure Training will be FINE! You both look ready to take that on.

Star is going to a Baby Novice event next week -with real water and a half ditch.

    Robby:

I am just THRILLED for you!!!!! You and Rhodey will be great. Training should not be an issue at all for you.

If I were you, I would remove that chunk of coal from my hiney. That big ole diamond just might get stuck there after cross country. Honey, both of you are already diamonds. Hugs.

I predict your next four weeks will be an endless loop of wishing the show was tomorrow followed by hoping you'll accidentally drop the hairdryer in the bathtub (or get trampled by cattle or electrocuted by the toaster, etc.).

The good news is, eventually the show WILL be tomorrow.

You'll be fine. You'll have fun. I saw those videos -- even if you have to ride the whole course like you rode that coop, you'll be ok. Rhodey seems like he really wants to get the job done.

JER, I haven't used a hair dryer since 1992, but I love the creative outlook on accidental suicide.

How 'bout Dezi and I record my first coursewalk on Friday afternoon and then maybe someone can tape me "having a go" on the weekend.

If it's good, I'll share it with you!

    You'll have a great time!

I actually found the Training test much more intuitive and flowing than Novice, and can use it to keep the mare more focused by giving her a little more to do.

You're going to do great! http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...on_biggrin.gif

I remember that same feeling when I entered my first Training with Traveler, like "what the heck am I doing!" I was doing fine at the actual event until I walked the course, then I felt like being anywhere but there. My husband actually got mad at me because I kept saying, "I'm going to die..." Yeah, great positive thinking. http://chronicleforums.com/images/cu...milies/lol.gif http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...on_biggrin.gif

But, it was the most amazing experience ever - the elation of crossing the finish line with a wonderful round behind us, after all the fear and doubt beforehand, was unbelievable. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...icon_smile.gif

You and The Precious ROCK!! http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...on_biggrin.gif I've seen the videos too, and I am so excited for you! You'll have to share all the ups and downs as you get ready (mostly ups, I'm certain!) with those of us that will be showing vicariously with you! http://chronicleforums.com/images/cu...milies/yes.gif

I remember your post about filling out your first BN entry with him -- you've come a long way, baby! http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...on_biggrin.gif

Kelly, when I moved Willow up to T I was so excited to "have a go." She was such a confidence builder. Rhodey felt a bit like her at Kentucky, that sort of "I know what you're thinking and, yes, let's do it!" feeling.

So, I'm guardedly optimistic but I'm still guarded. I do hope it'll go well. I have been working on his medium trot all summer!
